Amanda grew up in that exotic place over the bridge and through the tunnel called New Jersey. After failing at sports, she found her way into the ensemble of a community theatre production of Annie Get Your Gun at age 5 and never looked back. Since then she has walked the boards all over the USA and internationally.
She might be famous in Asia.
These days Amanda spends her time teaching, writing, and appearing as the woman you think you know on the small screen. She lives with her wife, one fearless toddler, and several plants in NYC.
She enjoys Italian food, travel deals, and RuPaul's Drag Race.
Look for Amanda on the current season of Manifest (NBC) and recent seasons of Orange is the New Black (Netflix) and Younger (TV Land).
Amanda recently appeared in the reading of Carolyn Gage's new play Easter Sunday with Clutch Productions.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
“Amanda Bruton nearly steals the whole show as Grandma, played like a salty, funky, ancient hippie just old enough to not care what comes out of her mouth. Sharp and Bruton easily score the biggest and longest laughs of the evening.”
