Teaching

When she's not pounding the pavement, Amanda brings her love for theatrics into the classroom.

Amanda recently taught Intro to Acting at Heidelberg University and directed a production of Puffs for their BFA theater program.

Amanda is a teaching artist for Stages on the Sound, teaching filmmaking, playwriting and Shakespeare in NYC Schools, and has served as the Shakespeare and Drama teacher at Manhattan's Spence School as part of their Second Act Program.

Amanda has also taught Shakespeare in schools throughout the tri-state area as a teaching artist for Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival. Most notably, she designed and led HVSF's Teacher's Institute for two summers, helping high school teachers create engaging and innovative ways to bring Shakespeare into the classroom. A highlight of her work with HVSF has been teaching at West Point Military Academy, teaching and coaching cadets in Shakespeare as well as teaching improv workshops to West Point faculty.

In addition, Amanda has created an Addams Family Master Class for middle schools and high schools working on The Addams Family Musical. The Master Class includes character building and scene work exercises, monologuing of song, specialty make-up, and all things necessary to become an Addams.

Amanda is available for coaching, both individually and in group settings. Contact Amanda for rates and availability.
